Fortunate Braids Client Booking & Appointment Policy
To provide every client with a smooth, professional and enjoyable experience, please read the following policies carefully before booking.
Hair preparation
Please arrive with your hair freshly washed, combed out if you have an Afro, tangle-free, clean and free from oils, grease, gels or other styling products unless advised otherwise.
If you are unable to wash your hair before your appointment, you may add a hair washing or preparation service subject to availability and an additional charge.
If your hair has not been prepared as required and there is not enough time to complete the preparation, the appointment may need to be cancelled. In this case, your deposit may be retained and a new appointment and deposit may be required.
Punctuality
Please arrive on time. A grace period of up to 10 minutes is allowed. Arrivals beyond 10 minutes may be subject to a late fee. If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment may be cancelled and treated as a no-show, particularly where the delay would affect the next client.
If you know you are running late, please contact Fortunate Braids as soon as possible.
Bookings & working hours
Appointments can be booked up to two weeks in advance. Standard working hours are Monday to Saturday, 9:00am–6:00pm. Appointments requested before 9:00am or after 6:00pm are considered out-of-hours appointments and may be subject to an additional fee, subject to availability.
Deposits
A 50% booking deposit, based on the service booked, is required to secure your appointment. The deposit is deducted from the total service cost on the day of the appointment. Deposits are non-refundable. Where sufficient notice is provided, a deposit may be transferred to a rescheduled appointment.
Cancellations & rescheduling
Please provide at least 24–48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Requests made with less than 24 hours' notice may result in loss of the deposit, and a new deposit may be required before another appointment can be secured. Failure to attend without notice is treated as a no-show and the deposit is forfeited.
