From my salon chair to your everyday crown
I’m Fortune Ticha, the founder of Fortunate Braids and House of Fortune.
House of Fortune began with the people sitting in my salon chair. While doing my clients’ hair, I listened to their questions about caring for it at home: what to use, how to build a routine and how to look after a style between appointments.
Those conversations stayed with me. Creating a beautiful hairstyle mattered, but I wanted to offer something that could be part of the care that followed, long after a client left the salon.
A journey beyond the salon
That ambition took me all the way to China to source products and explore what I could bring to House of Fortune. I travelled with the needs of my clients in mind, looking for hair-care products, tools and accessories that could make everyday routines easier to understand and put into practice.
For me, this was more than choosing products for a shelf. It was a step towards building something of my own from the experience, conversations and relationships behind Fortunate Braids.
Care that continues at home
Today, House of Fortune brings together wash-day essentials, styling products and protective accessories. My aim is to help you feel more confident about caring for your hair, whether you are preparing for your next style, looking after your locs or making time for wash day.
